What to do with Dry Hair and Damaged Hair
Damaged hair got you freaked out?

Many products on the market are made to help you care for dry hair or damaged hair so you can restore your hair to its normally stunning healthy condition. Taking steps to save your hair from becoming damaged in the first place is the best way to cope with hair health difficulties. You can do this by observing some basic hair care methods to guard your hair from becoming damaged or dried out. Your hair stylist can give you excellent hair care tips. Some products are designed especially to help you temporarily enhance the physical appearance of your hair if it is already damaged. Once your hair is damaged, however, there is simply no way to permanently repair the damage to hair which has already grown out; rather, you have got to take care of the fresh hair growing in correctly so it will be healthy when it has completely replaced your old, damaged hair.

You can try things out with various combinations of shampoos and conditioners to discover something that works nicely for dry and unmanageable hair. Avoid using a blow dryer to totally dry your hair since this can help make it dry and difficult to control; instead, blow dry your hair until it is almost dry, then let it dry completely on its own. Hair dyes and tinting chemicals can dry your hair out and harm it, so you ought to be careful regarding what sorts of products you use for coloring your hair, or go over possible problems with your hairdresser before deciding to have your hair dyed or highlighted.

Split ends can be removed only by cutting your hair with sharp scissors. Some hair products claim to control split ends and using them might help make your hair look better, but their usefulness is most likely only superficial and short-term. Some shampoos and conditioners contain UV blocking ingredients that may help to protect your hair from getting dry and brittle due to too much sun exposure. You can deal with dry and damaged hair with a variety of moisturizers and conditioners which may help to make it look much better while your healthy new hair is growing in to take its place.

You can do a number of things to encourage your hair to grow in healthy and gorgeous as it replaces older damaged hair. If you are coloring your hair or getting a permanent, make use of the gentlest chemicals on the market for these purposes and avoid using too much heat when applying them. Find a gentle mixture of shampoos and conditioners that keeps your hair glossy and full-bodied. Don’t overlook the value of consuming a balanced and nourishing diet that contains the appropriate amounts of proteins and natural oils. Getting regular exercise and eating right will keep you healthy and feeling full of energy. Staying in very good all round health is the very best way to promote healthy hair growth.

Hairstyles to Celebrate the Season

Hairstyles To Celebrate the Season

Bouncy curves full of body, edgy rock and roll, and beautiful tiny horses crops comprise three of the summer’s top fashion hairstyle trends, according to an art director of a leading hair fashion house. After going to the fashion shows in Paris, notable international ad campaigns like Louis Vuitton and Armani, and exorbitantly famous celebrities like Rihanna and Pink, he says, “These are the hairstyle trends, but I always stress that modern trends are meant to be elastic. Adapt them to your style, hair type, and age. That, I think is the right way to approach beauty.”

Pin-Up Girl

Forties pin-up models balanced perfectly between sexy cat-like allure and girl-next-door , and that’s the overall effect of this hair trend, says the artist. Start with soft body, created with a classic roller set, then brush through with a firm brush like a Mason Pearson to loosen the curls. Next, gently pull the top portion of the hair to the top of the head and secure loosely with plenty of volume on top.
Tip: prepare hair for roller sets with a hair product that gives hair “grip” like K-PAK Thermal Design Foam. “This product is always in my tool kit,” says the artist. “It contains a very good setting agent that gives you hold, but it also lets you style the hair.” If hair is fine and needs even more “bite,” try Texture Spray. It’s lightweight, so it won’t cause fine strands to collapse, but it provides plenty of style support. “Feel free to layer it on,” adds the artist, “if you need more style strength.”

Summer’s Breezy Up and Away Do

“Many runways right now featuring simple looks”, said the celebrity hairstylist with hair pulled away from the face. “Typically when the hairstyle doesn’t block the face,” he says, “it instantly shows an innocent, young ‘I had a great night’s sleep’ effect. Whenever I need to add some “je ne sais quoi” to a hairstyle, I lift it off the face” Currently, he loves youthful, groomed ponies and buns, and what makes them particularly modern, he says, is the foundational texture. “Dry the hair so that it’s smooth and polished, but with plenty of body and bounce,” he advises. Another trendy touch? Use a tail comb to create a deep side part before gathering up the hair. “Low parts off to the side are totally hot right now”, he declares.
Hair Tip: Tame summer flyaways with K-PAK Protect & Shine Serum or Smoothing Balm, followed by K-PAK Protective Hairspray. Rub the balm into palms and run your hands lightly over the surface of the hair.
